chamber music for starships and 'those moments'
Introducing the famous welsh serein label with this exceeding release from Nest, which is a collaborative project of Otto Totland (Deaf Center / Type Records) and Huw Roberts (Serein). This self-titled EP is the first work publicly released from this two pianists. It is a impressivly haunting piece of music, influenced by several different styles. Mostly using the piano with and without modifications, Otto and Huw used various instruments and sounds, from welsh harps over violins and woodwind instruments to field recordings to produce beautiful music free of pretense. Timeless ambient - If you like the music of hauschka or arvo pärt, you will like this release a lot. It's a perfect amalgamation of moods which are sometimes morbid, but always friendly. A perfect score for a walk through an uncrowded foggy venice at night.

sensual physics - the thin girl ep (thn093)

deep warm dub movers
finally, here comes the new one from thinner. A new release from sensual physics with a warm deep four-tracks ep. Originally these tracks were part from a liveset a few years ago. Now, the tracks were re-recorded with contemporary influences with Joerg's own kind of producing. Original notes at the thinner website: "Each piece is distilled with a touch of accident. Whether it be a small break, a crackle or some fading reverb, these random elements expand the basic theme behind Joerg's creation of each track which are just developed further from there, iterated, and reassembled until the pieces fit together perfectly. Beside these chaotic and analytical elements all tracks are sensualwise carried out by warm floating basslines and dreamy soundscapes. "The Thin Girl" is an interweaved mixture of analysis and warmth. And, just after diving deep into a track, the listener soon feels its approaching end only to start sinking into the next one."

Lomov - Labwork / Aquarius (gruen020/021)

stadtgruen is back! With this extradeep double-release from stadtgruen's co-founder alex bergk alias lomov. Minimal ambient structures with snizzling sounds arranged in lomov-style - which means in perfection... The Labwork part of this double-release contains those wonderful tracks with big deep atmospheric waves mixed with reduced beats. The Aquarius part is all about slow-motion jazz - best for midnight city train rides or walks through foggy woods in the morning (and maybe retro-classics for the next century...)
As always, the stadtgruen crew provides the complete artwork for both releases for download and printing out. Absolut fantastic release!

Exquisite independent acoustics & electronics
Here comes tripostal, a free sub-label for the belgian independent micro-label carte postale records from namur. With an exciting first-off-compilation featuring various artists with unbelievable electronica, folktronica, indie and ambient. Some of them released on Carte Postale in the past, some of them were totally unknown for me till now. Floating through finest campfire-folk, glitchy electronica, pop-hymns, country-ballads, ambient and so much more in between for real and virtual camfires. No filler, just killer. This one is an absolute recommended release! This one was released in february - if you don't have it - get it. NOW!

lush melancholic electronica
Archaic Horizon Records brings us this splendorous album by Loafeye. And again he's back with fine tunes after his fat releases on Rope Swing Cities, Experimedia and Retropublik. His style often reminds me of boards of canada's calmer tracks. Very wide atmospheric layers, strings and textures are keeping the warm gliding melodies in safe hands, combined with punchy downbeats. His lush ambient tracks with its silky sounds and dreamy atmospheres transports a sense of infinity. I like this one! Recommended as always...

Deep classics in the mix
Wow, what a nice deep mix from auton on mixotic . Very deep and even deeper tracks from the heros of the lower keys. Krill.minima and Danny Kreutzfeldt opens this deep opus with dark calm monsters until Daniel Stefanik fades in with deepest basic channel style dubtech and opens the more beats driven part of this mix. Ars Deco with abstract noisy nebula-funk from neptune, followed by lomov with deep forest dubs, deeptech movers from christian bloch and killahertz. Finally autons slows the mix down with quads, deluge, ozy and veer. Very nice playlist, very deep feelings.

Vocal electronica from sweden
After some great releases with female singers, Corpid Extra now starts up with a male popstar: Lucky Misu (Daniel Bergstrom). This four-tracker contains great fluffy electronica with danceable beats perfected to pophymns with Lucky Misu's vocals. Fine tunes!
Caution: Hosted on archive.org - slow servers - disrupting streams!

Warm twinkling electronica
I am sora fan. The unique technique of subtile distortion of audio material of the Kyoto-based electronic musician Takeshi Kurosawa is terrficic. Sora “Live at Metroâ€, the second Relaese from Intervall-audio , is a mix of tracks from his groundbreaking first album 're:sort' on Plop and unreleased material. Put it on your mp3 player, sit down at a empty beach, put your headphones on and dive into this opus of contemporary electronica.
Intervall-audio says: "Live at Metro" is a richly textured, playfully arranged, crisply analogue-sounding electronica opus that testifies to the fine taste of early Plop releases and defined the image and future direction of the label back in 2003. "Live at Metro" also demonstrates the exceptional talent of a young Japanese artist who, in 2006, played the Plop label showcase at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona as well as Sonar Sound Tokyo."
Get ready for warm flickring bell-style sound, jazz, acoustics, and wonderful melodies from another time. 10 hearts!
