construction works underneath the deep blue sea
After a month off fighting against heavy spamming, preventing database-takeovers and less sleep, wundertunes mag is back with a pot of deepness. Gastón Arévalo's first appearance tracks on thinner are made with deepness, tenderly noise and clicks'n'clacks. During hearing his release i imagined underwater roadworks down in the turquoise caribbean sea. Where beautiful thalassians slowly floatage along-watching the ado of the silcon steam-roller and the lovely chuggling tar-engine... Just dreaming while falling into deepness... :-)
This extra-fine ep contains 4 tracks - which hopefully is meant as a small teaser for more upcoming stuff from this terrific uruguaian artist!

Relaxed atmospherics
Stadtgruen, the adress for well-balanced electronic music between urban living and nature aswell as the deeper sides of tech, published a new one. This time on the 'gruen' labelsprout: Motionfield aka Petter Friberg from Sweden with his second full release on Stadtgruen: Movements. And this reminds me back the days... The Orb and FSOL were bringing together electronic sounds with a deeper feeling for nature, future and life. On Movements Petter Friberg merging these sounds with his own universe. The results are chilled, atmospheric, melodic and warm tracks, perfect for the ride home after a long day. Nice release!

Herwig Holzmann - How To Stop... (apl046)

Slow down your processes
Life's too fast - we know that too good... Now here comes your chance to pause down for some moments in your hectic days.
It's very easy: Download the new Autoplate release "How to stop..." by Laridae co-founder Herwig Holzmann, haunt to your favourite (or find a new...) place, put on your earphones and take your personal pause. Mr. Holzmann describes his method of making music as "musical storytelling" - soundtracks for nonexistent movies. He wants the listeners to create their own stories and images in their minds as they listen to what he describes as his pieces of "audio fiction"...
So go ahead, don't wait too long, slow down your life for just over an hour, reflect and recreate and press the pause-button of life for a few moments... i don't want to say more about his music here, just this: it's perfect for this listening stop...
My First Trumpet - Frerk (aer009)

Simply beautiful indietronics
Here comes a fresh one on the beloved Aerotone label. The wonderful album "Frerk" from "My first trumpet" aka Kevin Hamann (Hamburg, Germany) contains 12 very beautiful detailed examples of useful arrangements of music, harmony and melody. Using electronics aswell as acoustics, he delivers surely an independent netlabel masterpiece. Jumping from abstract piano & acoustics (pawlow) over folk-flavoured electronica (takt short takt) to modern pop music (d.kitt), this album can't put into one certain genre. As Aerotone told us on the release website that "Frerk is a bedroom- and first trial production..." we know, that these ones are very often the best ones... and this one surely is...
Cd-burners and cover-lovers: get in touch with the wonderful work of Kheira Linder...

Relaxed moody electronica grooves
Here comes a bunch of very nice tracks from Seth Haley alias Sarin Sunday, released on Archaic Horizon. Very relaxed deep electronica and sometimes classic breaks, sometimes glitchy beats all melted together in best Boards of Canada style. Very classic. Very good. The good old days. 'Expressing a reflection of the past and a direction for the future, The Lonely Hike evokes complex narratives almost purely through sonic compositions.'
Histeresis - Various artists (FILTRO.020)

Deep, deeper, deepest music
Juchu! Filtro is back, let's talk about deep music...
Release 20 'Histeresis' is a compilation with various filtro artists, a roundview of glitchy electronics, 'a drawn trajectory framing intimist and atmospheric set ups to urban beats, flirting in some moments with an alternative dance floor'... In true filtro tradition digitals meets deep dubs meets IDM meets minimal. In true filtro tradition, the result is brillant. It's a sound of a state between being awake and asleep, deep true feelings, coverted to music which let me fall into deep dreaming, reflecting, thinking and philosophizing. About this world, about what's wrong, what's right, what people should do with their life and, and, and... This is 100% true music. Soundtrack for life. An instant classic. And the best: you can also dance to :-)

Sensual improvised melancholic jazz
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Burning slammer from aerotone, Germany! Bluebridge Quartet from Sweden brings a bunch of wonderful jazz flowers for your delightment! Without doubt, this is one of the greatest net-jazz-releases which ever reached my ear. Perfect mix, perfect music, very warm melancholic moods, played with joy - a must have! Rhythmic structures break loose and get again webbed together handmade with magic using usual suspects as Bass, Guitar, Rhodes, Hammond, Saxophone, Violin and some other instruments grafted with some electronics. Vibrating and enchantig music with the warmth of analog taperecording. What are you waiting fo? Grab this one! Even if you don't like jazz! Be open minded!
Christian Björklund - Skåpmat EP (Phoke41)

Science-fiction adventure game-electronica
Shit, this rocks. Christian Björklund, who produced sound effects and music for Amiga and PC games for several years, drops a fivetracker ep on Phonocake from Dresden, Germany. His style of music is some kind of 'known' but fresh, very smooth, dubby, direct and true, sometimes introverted. Sounds a bit like he could be the next artist playing live on stage in Jabba's (the Hutt) desert fortress on Tatooine. This is wonderful music, check that out! - i'm loving it!Â
Erik de vahl - Oh! My Spine (Self-released)
Submitted by wundertuner on May 21, 2007 - 23:01. Calm & relaxing | Experiments | Mp3 | With good wine | Headphone science
Fresh Indie folk-tronics from Sweden
Very complex open-minded electro-acoustic music from Sweden. Crispy micro-rhythms and deep structures colliding with Eric de vahl's guitarplay and singing. Sounds a bit like Karaoke Kalk meets Warp. With this release Eric presents his third CD-album "Oh! My Spine" which he self-released in a limited edition of 100 ex earlier this year in April. His decision to release it finally for free and everyone he describes like this: "Since there won't be no second edition released I've decided to offer you to download it here instead. For free of course. Selling digital files is to me a huge step backwards in every aspect. So feel free spread the music and tell your friends about it if it appeals to you." Very nice!
